CAC

Customer acquisition cost (CAC) divides defined sales and marketing acquisition costs by the corresponding number of new customers.

Specify included costs, such as staff and sales expenses, rather than silently using ad spend alone. Verify new customers through CRM or transaction records, excluding repeat purchases by existing customers.

Using inquiries or phone clicks as the denominator measures cost per lead or action, not actual customer CAC. Align periods, conversion lag, and channel attribution before comparison.
