Google removed the sitelinks search box beginning in November 2024. The claim that adding SearchAction can produce an internal search box in Google results is no longer current.
An actual search function can still be described with Schema.org SearchAction. This illustrates the distinction between describing meaning and qualifying for a supported search feature. Schema alone does not guarantee a knowledge panel or business results.
