While content SEO deals with the planning of topics and information, on-page SEO focuses on how to express and link them in a specific URL. The scope of the two tasks may overlap in an actual project.
Align the content of the text with the promise of the search results
If the title promises an adoption cost, the body should also explain the cost basis and scope of inclusion. If you change the title to include a search term but there is no relevant information, it will be difficult for visitors to find the answer they expected. The title representing the page and the main heading on the screen are written to point to the same topic.
Google's Title Link Guide explains that search result titles are automatically generated and refer to the main title or other signals on the screen in addition to the title element. We cannot promise that the title you wrote will be displayed exactly as it is.
Each element has a different role
| element | What to Review |
|---|---|
| Title/Meta Description | Does it accurately summarize the text and distinguish it from other pages? |
| Heading/Body | Do the questions have the necessary answers, and do the subheadings reveal relationships in the content? |
| Image/Description | Does the alt text for the informational image help in understanding the product or concept and explain its role? |
| internal link | Is the document to be checked next linked, and is the destination understandable from the link text? |
Search result descriptions can also be automatically generated from the text. The meta description is a good summary candidate and is not a setting that guarantees the display of a particular sentence or length.
Improvement starts with the purpose of one URL
If it is a service introduction page, the scope of responsibility, intended audience, and information required before consultation are made clear. If it is a terminology document, definitions and easily confused concepts will first be explained. You don't need to have the same question-type headings, tables, and long FAQs on every type of page.
After editing, read the sentence and actually open the link on your mobile screen. We also check the HTML delivered to search engines. We distinguish between tasks that only change the title and tasks that fix accessibility and indexing issues, and record the change date and target URL to interpret subsequent changes.
