Transaction ID

transaction_id identifies a transaction in GA4 and supports purchase deduplication and refund association.

Use a unique, non-empty value for each order. Do not reuse it for unrelated orders or users, or include information identifying a customer.

The documented transaction-ID deduplication applies to web streams, not app streams. Do not rely on an unsupported fixed rule that deduplication expires after twenty-four hours.
