Click-through Rate

Click-through rate (CTR) is the ratio of the number of times a search result or ad is actually clicked compared to the number of times it is exposed. CTR is calculated as number of clicks ÷ number of impressions × 100, and is an indicator of the attractiveness of search results and the persuasiveness of the title and description.

When evaluating CTR, we compare ranges of positions for the same search terms, pages, devices, and countries. Search demand or search result layouts may change while changing the title, so the title effect cannot be confirmed solely by the numbers before and after the change.

The title and description should accurately convey what the actual page is about and why a visitor should choose it. Encouraging clicks with exaggerated offers can result in lost trust after the visit. Also check whether each search function is supported and its actual display status.
